And as for the up time.. Any play time at all would be great. Having it up to hop on whenever would be great, but at the same time looking at it from a reality perspective i can totally understand where you're coming from.

It'd be great to be able to run through the lands of KT again.

Any old (but still working and stable) notebook would be perfect for running a server nowadays. Don't even really need a fast network connection coz NWN was initially built to run OK over a dial-up modem.

I'd not worry about a static IP for starters either .. just post here somewhere when it's on/updated, and we can work things out.

That said -- hopefully you also have a lovely full life now without needing computer games to fill any gaps -- I certainly do .. and would only be able to play on 1 or 2 nights each week -- nowhere near the time I once spent online!

I'll see if I can get it running. I still have the original FarEastServer hard drive with all the characters.

As always, I have a dedicated server with a static IP, configured to run through the player-created new server listing that I'd be willing to host the server on. I can promise that I'd never modify or alter your project in any way.

OFF-TOPIC: Are you hosting back "underworld"??

If Underworld were to come back, everyone would have lost all of their characters and persistent data; the hard drive had crashed, and I only have a copy of the module.

I ran up the server and unblocked NWN ports and port forwarded them to the server. I'll leave it up for a bit to see if anyone else can connect. Please let me know results. If I remember correctly, characters are linked to the game keys you used when the character was created.

Been checking this forum fairly frequently to see if servers would ever come back up and it looks like there's some interest/activity.
In response to your 114.179.171.38 IP, I can't direct connect at the moment. You might've taken it down already though..?

My ISP is blocking the port, but I'm working to correct that. I'll post here as soon as I think it's fixed.

Try adding the port on to the ip address. That's how i was able to connect to my friends games, and some online games for the first time as well. 114.179.171.38:(Port) is how it's done i do believe.

Once you're done fixing the ISP that is.

randomly checked the forums again and found that Far East server may be returning?! Is this for real?! If so I would love to visit again and revisit my old characters. I think I mentioned in my last post that I am writing a book and my memory of KT is far from perfect but it was by far one of the best servers I have ever played on and would love to show a good friend of mine the server. If it got running again, we would for sure play as often as we are able especially if it is the Far East Server since that was the one I had spent the most time on. Really looking forward to it if it is possible Sarah and hope that it is around at least for a little while to bring a lot of the old memories back and share your awesome server with my friend.

I received a new switch today, so I should be able to have Far East Server back up and running this weekend.
