What's the deal with people running through dungeons? Twice, not once, but twice yesturday as I was about to finish a dungeon some douchebag runs past me and steals my kill/key. The first time the guy actually ran into the room and killed Medusa after i'd taken her to badly wounded when I was engaging her for the first time, stole my kill, created a mob 3 times the size I started with, ran off, and got my key. The second time a guy ran through-on the very next dungeon- and took down Ssssth as I was buffing beside the portal and dragged 10+ spawns to where I was standing. The same thing happened the day before when I was partied with DS. What's the policy on this and what's the procedure for getting some justice? Should I just smash them and rob them?

While smashing and robbing is the most instantly gratifying, its not the best long term solution. If you can manage take a screen shot (or in this instance 2) and let the DM know about it thats an ideal solution. You can message the DM on the boards here or via email:
DungeonX@cox.net

In my opinion this would be one instance where a server wide shout would be acceptable. This does two things:
1.) Lets everyone else on the server know that he/she is a kill stealer and mob spawning dungeon runner.
2.) Gives the kill stealer/dungeon runner a warning, and notifies him/her that they're doing something wrong (as if they didn't know).

Hopefully it doesn't happen again, but if it does let people know about it.

Alternatively, host the image online, and post the url here.

Name and Shame the run through noobs.

(although, always keep an evil character to hand for the instant gratification route.... Twisted Evil )

It's against the server rules to run through. I understand people sometimes spawn more than they can handle. That's OK. I don't have any problem with running away if it's hopeless to stay. The spirit of the rule is to try to kill what you spawn.

It's definitely rude to run in and kill another player's spawns, especially bosses. Normal etiquette is to ask if the player needs help before joining melee. Of course, sometimes people forget to control their henchmen or summons, and that leads to problems.

If I see anyone violating the spirit of game play by running through, spawn killing others, or stealing boss kills, I'll give them a warning. However, it's sometimes best to take care of it on your own by first (politely) telling them to stop and reminding them it's against server rules. If they persist, I hear Nuli (and others) has a few characters more than capable of dealing with transgressors.
