Anyone using the new AA crafting feature in the crafting menu? Those arrows of slaying seem pretty powerful. I might have to adjust their effectiveness, so I'm wondering if anyone is using them. Nuli?

I have used them a little and they are quite powerful and in very short supply. As a lvl 54 Arcane Archer I was able to kill a Drow Warrior with 2 arrows so the arrows do work and they are indeed powerful. Only problem I see with them is the fact that you need to have some sort of knowledge as to what group each creature in each dungeon is for example a Drow Warrior in d15 is an elf so you need arrows of Elf Slaying for them to work on him and Slayers are Dwarves so you need Arrows of Dwarf Slaying for them to work on them. For some creatures it is much harder to tell racial group they belong to for example I thought the Crossbowman in d13 were Human so I tried using Arrows of Human Slaying on them but they did not work. When they do work they are quite deadly but there are not enough of them to run through the area and slay everything so the power of them is fine the way it is and would work best against enemies that the player using the arrows would have a hard time against normally (Karl in d3 for example). Other than that they are pretty neat and the way you aquire them is good and with you needing to adventure around to create more arrows makes it so that you can't just create a ton of them before heading into a dungeon to destroy the dungeon.

I'm happy to hear they are effective in D15. Yeah, you do have to figure out the racial type of your target, but at least it tells you when you choose wrong.

As you no doubt figured out, bosses are immune.

Even if a creature saves, the arrows should still do a lot of damage. I think you can kill any creature (except bosses) in 3 hits even if they save.

yep pretty much which makes them both effective and fun to use as well as frustrating when you pick wrong and have to wait a while to try again which just makes them all around fun to use and figure out.

What are the requirments to craft the arrows? I built a test character (ranger lvl1) then I tried to craft arrows and it said "try again" or something like that... ( I tried to craft slay goblin arrows for 10 minutes)

You need to go out adventuring in order to craft the arrows. I found that if you don't go into a dungeon and start going through it, you cannot craft the arrows and if you do manage to create a stack it is only a stack of 10...not worth using on goblins.

Yes, you have to spend some time adventuring before you can craft the arrows. They can be useful against goblins, but I'd save them for the tougher ones instead of wasting them on the peons.
