Where is everyone?

Does anyone play anymore? I used to play alot back in the days of nuli and nameless, and lately ive been trying to get back into nwn. i stumbled across this forum and tried to figure out what servers were the us and japan ones, and i found them i believe but nobody is ever playing. are the KT servers just not as busy as they used to be, or is there a different server that people are playing on? I've been trying for about 5 days to catch somebody on either of them with no luck

You have to direct connect to 219.109.227.16:5121 has no password if you haven't found it , there was a lot of cool people played, maybe it's the holidays?

It's been a bit slow lately with everyone busy with the holidays. The Japan server usually has more folks on it than the server in the US. As Darksky mentioned, you have to direct connect to the Japan server, because I never was able to get the Bioware master server to respond. I think they block Japan IPs, because I tried every trick in the book without luck.

i know nameless doesnt play anymore, but is nuli playing all the time like he used to?

Nuli drops in at times but not like the old days, maybe after the Holidays people will be playing more.

I miss Nameless, Malaya, HamanC (War), and many others. I'm sure glad some of you are still sticking around. In many ways, you all are like family. As long as you keep coming, the server will stay on.

im trying to get nameless back into playing and hopefully he'll give in. malaya is a little bit harder to convince to play. ive been playing a little bit each day, but its a little hard to get into it when nobody else is online

Malaya was always a force to be reckoned with, and it would be great to see Nameless again.

Who was that other regular player who always played evil, preyed on noobs, and was consistently hunted and killed by the other players? I seem to recall it was something like WH something or other.

I will try to do some changes over the holidays since I'll have more time off. I hope everyone continues to check in and report defects. I'll try to address as many as I can.

=) if you can give us some word of ANY update to shifters, I'll be spending much more time on the server.

I'm currently working with malaya on getting nameless a new computer, so hopefully we'll get him back on and messing around on the new server. i forgot what it was like to start over with nothing and no friends to level with.

Nameless and Nuli were the unbeatable duo. They mastered the art of creating compatible character types to cover the weaknesses of a single player. It seems no matter how tough I made the dungeons, they'd figure out how to win.

Anyone remember that WH guy? He was quite fun--always picking fights but never actually playing well enough to beat anyone.

Yes good old WH, he was a mess when he got started I remember on DX2 in the crypt when he would come after us and you were helping him out a little, made his day, he did try his best at being the bad guy, then on KT1 he changed his ways so he said , the other day I seen him on KT1 but didn't get to chat with him, we need him on KT2 giving a laugh or two again.

If he shows up on KT2, I'll see what I can do to give him a leg up. I could literally give him his choice of gear, and he'd still get whipped. But that's why he's so memorable. He just didn't give up trying.

That's for sure, he never stop going, remaids me of the energizer rabbit.

I'm glad to see more players around. It encourages me to continue making improvements. I'm sorry about the US server issues. People are probably less likely to give Knights Templar a try with 0 players online. Perhaps it would help if I renamed it KT Portal or something. I did recently see a new player log in from the US portal, but he apparently didn't like it.

Now that I've taken time to play a character, I realize some recent changes have made some monsters/areas exceedingly difficult. That's being addressed. I'm also finding things that I missed before, such as the Turn Undead skill. I recently rewrote it so that levels past 40 continue to enhance a character's turn ability.

Please keep sending me info on anything you see that doesn't work right. I'll try to fix what I can when I can.

Oh, I did put the Pale Master healing potions in some of the markets, so that Pale Masters have another source. I also added greater strength, dexterity, etc. potions to the module (as opposed to rewriting the standard potions to stack). The greater versions are not carried by most merchants however. You'll have to find them.
