| Anyone want to give a quick explanation of how the relevel guy works if I want to take a lvl 60 mage/rogue back down to where I can make him pure mage? I don't want to delete him and have to start over as I don't want to have to find every orb again for the staff. | |

| Celesti takes you down to level 1 and then gives you back the XP to level back up. You can't change your starting class. That's permanent. For example, let's say you're a level 20 fighter/level 20 rogue but you decide to go pure fighter. If your first level was in rogue, you are stuck with it. The best you could do would be level 39 fighter/level 1 rogue with that character. Of course, you could always delete the character and start over. Celesti allows you to save your existing XP up to level 40. Any XP beyond that is lost.
BTW, your saved XP, the inheritance, is saved under your account ID/key codes. You can't claim it if you log on with a different account or the same account with different game keys. That's an important point if you have multiple computers/copies of NWN going. You have to use the same game key and account name to get your inheritance.

| Thanks, I tried both and they are fairly straight forward once you experience it. | |

| It's worth mentioning (for those that may have not read it) that when you do have Celesti re-level your character that there is a small chance that your character will not be able to re enter Knights Templar.
Sarah the DM, Is this still scripted in? Or has that been removed and the NPC just not updated? Do you know off hand what the percentage is that your character could be lost when re-leveling? Is it really low (1-2% chance) or is it a fairly decent chance (10-15%)?

| I haven't heard of anyone having a problem with releveling in some time, but I have seen it corrupt some characters in the past. Perhaps Bioware has fixed the bugs that caused the problem. I'm pretty sure no RDD can relevel, because the RDD class does not properly delevel. Keep in mind the game has to figure out which feats, ability scores, and skills to remove as you delevel. If it doesn't get it right, the game won't recognize you as a legal character and you'll be unable to log on. | |

| I see. I thought it was a way KT kept re-leveling to a minimum, but it seems like its a Bioware issue.
Good to know. -WR69 | |

| [Just read this thread (ok -- so I'm a little slow sometimes)]
Haven't had a re-levelling problem on KT, but on another server I lost a char once where I died & lost experience & lost a RDD level. The problem then was that Bioware didn't properly remove the extra Str/Int/Con/Cha that RDDs get as a bonus, making the char "illegal". It was a slow levelling server and I lost about a month of playing ...and left that server, heh
If folk have had similar de-levelling problems on KT is was probably with RDD de-levelling. If people know about this bug, nothing probably needs changing on KT. Maybe a slight Celesti conversation warning or disallowing de-levelling when a char has more than 1 RDD level ...saying that "dragons can only be returned to their home plane" or something?

| I just discovered a problem with deleting or relevelling a nerfed paladin knight templar build. The Celesti seems OK with it though, almost as if it were intentional... In fact, I would even go so far as to say that the annoying bird-lady seemed quite smug about it...
Seriously though, I get the point. Knights can't be deleted relevelled or claim banked xp because of their "calling" but can I suggest that this little caveat in the contract be mentioned when you join up? As a fairly extreme alt-oholic I do worry about clogging up the server with crappy toons. Some of us have ADHD and can't concentrate on one thing for any significant period of..... um... what was I saying?
Or maybe, for the sake of a tidy server (I'm a little OCD too), a Knight can be deleted but no XP be banked.

| I'm pretty sure knights can be deleted completely, saving their XP as an inheritance. They only thing they aren't supposed to do at Celesti is use saved XP to level up. They are supposed to earn their levels, not just level up immediately with inheritance. If it isn't working out this way, please let me know.
As for a warning up front, I can do that.

| I'm pretty sure the knight i tried to delete wasn't allowed to be deleted, I'll try again later and let you know.
{ later } OK, i just deleted him.... I'm feeling a little stupid now.

| I've been having some trouble with reveling one of my toons...
Celesti gives me enough xp to almost lvl up, but i can't get the whole level. I thought it might be multiclass penalties, but the toon i am having trouble with only has two classes. Maybe its because he's evil? anyone who could help, well that would be very... um... helpful. ty.

| What classes does the character have? It's dual-classed, right? | |

| i had this prob b4 too... it think it has something to do with multi classing out of yer races recomended class..... for example if u try to lvl up a dwarven rouge......... its really not a problem tho just go into a dungon and get 1 kill and u have thath lvl....... id rather get a lvl or 2 and go play for a few lvls then get a lvl or 2 more and keep repeating the process...... | |

| I also had this happen to me, it is called Multi classing. I was making a barbarian/bard/rdd, got down to 1xp and had to get 1 kill and run back to Celesti, after that one time making this classes I started leveling her the hard way. Good Luck to you! DarkSky | |

| I'm pretty sure Celesti will not give you experience to "bank" levels. You have to level up each time before you can ask her for another level. She'll take you up to 1 point under the next possible level if you haven't leveled up from the last one she gave you. Am I making sense? | |

| Yes you are. . . She does give you enough each time to level up but once you start the Multi Class she will give you... say 6,5,4,3,2,1 exp and then you have to kill for that 1 xp before she gives you anymore exp and for the rest of the Multi Class. It's not that bad running to get that 1 xp, just a lot of running is all. DarkSky | |

| I have had the same thing happen to me. I was going to the Celesti to lvl up(for the first time with that character) but instead of getting a lvl up, I got enough xp to be 1 xp away from a lvl up instead of getting enough xp to actually lvl up. When I went to go kill a monster to actually gain the lvl, I lvled up and came back to the Celesti to try again and the same thing happened.
Warchief
PS this may be the wrong place to put this but to those of you who are my friends on this site, the main reason I haven't been playing for a while is the fact that KT2 is changing way too quickly and still has a few too many bugs to fix for me to make a workable character and keep that character workable until 60th. The last character I made got to D5 and then he got halted there due to the potion system changing(making him a Fighter with a low armour class with no heal pots) and I also found out that some of the dungeons previous to the one he is in got reworked. I am interested in continuing to play here but it will have to be at a time when the site is more complete.

| Thanks for all the input, everyone.
There must have been some kind of glitch and the server didn't recognize my favored class. I was building a halfling rogue/ assassin when celesti wouldn't give me enough xp to lvl, but I rebuilt the toon and it worked just fine the second time.
Thx again for all your help.
