Harassment

I just started on your server, maybe 25 minutes ago, and I can say I'm having no fun what so ever. There is a player, "gailtaylor" constantly harassing me. He's calling me horrendous names through the shout channel, stealing my kills and loot, and spaming dislike on my character. If you do not look into this, I'm afraid I'll never play on your server, and I will tell anyone I meet that the player base is not worth putting up with.

I will log on and watch for this. Thanks for reporting it.

Winter I would like to welcome you to the Knights Templar Far East server. I am so sorry that you had a problem the other day when you were on. It is a serious problem but i think i can shed a little light on the subject for you.
The same day i also had a problem with gaittaylor putting me on dislike. I asked why cause this was highly unusual for gaitaylor. The toon signed off. Five min later gaittaylor came back on and apologized to me. He told me his girlfriends son got on his game and that he would take care of the problem immediately. gaitaylor has played for a longtime on this server and on the old server. He has always been very nice to all players and very helpful. I am sure that once he is aware of the problem you had that he will put an end to it and try his best to make it up to you.

Please dont leave the server it is a great server with alot of great people that play on it. If i am on when you come on again i will help with whatever i can to show you how great this server is. Please dont judge all by one incident that the owner of the toon is not aware of. Looking forward to your return.

This is NOT like "gailtaylor" I have seen him go out of his way to help people, never nothing like this. I am SURE someone has to be messing around with his account or someone who has password. I am sure this will be worked out and in the mean time if you need any help please ask, I am on almost 24/7.

I have to agree with these guys. gailtaylor has been anything but nice to me; someone must have his account info. Also, this server is a really great online community, and if there are any problems, they usually get worked out and everyone is at least appeased if not ecstatic.

For the second night in a row now I have been harassed by this person: always on the character "Night craler 27". He repeatedly calls me (sorry) "bitch", "fucker", "pussy", and "cunt", and the insults increase in vulgarity and frequency if I refuse to "fight him in D2". I had him log off for about five minutes, then sign back on as character "mary may". He then claimed to be gailtaylor's sister. No apology was given, I was accused of scamming this person for no reason at all. "mary may" then proceeded to beg from me for about 15 minutes.

You all say this is not how this person acts. I implore you to play the server around midnight, GMT -7 time. This is getting beyond ridiculous. I have done nothing to this person to receive such attitude.

I have GailTaylor's IP and key codes and can ban the account. Winter, please warn whoever is playing that account that the DM will lock them out if they continue to harass you. If I catch them online again, I'll warn them. Make it clear they will be permanently banned if they continue. If they refuse to back off, post again here and I'll ban the account.

BTW, I think GailTaylor has their NWN "remember password" option set, so whoever is using the computer can log on. They are probably using the account without GailTaylor's knowledge, as I don't recall this person ever being a problem before. If anyone knows how to contact the account holder via email, please let them know what's up.

I talk with Gailtaylor this morning and he told me his girlfriends son was playing his account while he was at work and that he didn't know this was going on, he was upset and ask me where on forums this was, I told him and he left. He is a good guy and keeps to himself so I don't think for one minute that he was doing this.

I have been leaving the server earlier than usual but tonight i will be on at midnight. Winter i know this is not gaitaylor and i guarantee he will correct the problem as soon as he is able to. With so many players speaking on behalf of gaitaylor please give him the opportunity to correct the problem.

Winter i can most certainly understand how you feel about what has happened. But i also think that you need to calm down a bit and give gaitaylor the benefiet of the doubt. There have been several toons that have spoken on behalf of gaitaylor and what kind of person he is. So i Beg of you to let him take care of the child doing this on his password. You had a very bad experience but lets move forward and have fun. The DM has promised to ban them if it happens again and I assure you the DM is not afraid to ban anyone. I would like to say i sorry to everyone who has had a unpleasant time because of dakoda my girlfriends son using my account. I had no idea he was behaving so badly. Last night we had a long talk and i banned him for a week of playing and if i let him back on after that he will be on his best behavior you have my word. Winter dont know you but dakodas language was ignorant and uncalled for so for that im sorry. everyone who has played with me knows im always helpfull and pleasant. see everyone this weekend!!

If I can be so bold as to suggest your girlfriend's son should log on with his own account, so you won't receive blame (or kudos) for his play.

I hope that the apology gaitaylor sent to all will be accepted by all and we can get on with playing, having fun and building friendships. I like Sarah's suggestion about the kid having his own account .

Agreed. And also, thank you for posting it on the forums and being very mature about it so that this misunderstanding could get worked out. Everyone has handled it well, I think.

Apology accepted. Additionally, I concur with the suggestion about having his own account. And, furthermore, I am pleased you realize the "ignorance" in what he said. I am not one to emotionally break into a fit of rage and indecency. There is no need to thank me on being mature: I simply took the time to work this out in the most efficient manner possible. And to Sarah The DM: I am sorry for threatening to iterate my discontent for your server over this.
